CONTAINER LOGISTICS

Reefer Container Handling & Cold Chain

Protecting cargo across long ocean transit requires strict pre-cooling protocols and continuous temperature monitoring.

Equipment & Stuffing

  • 40ft High Cube Reefer: Standard container unit accommodating typically 25 to 28 Metric Tons net weight depending on carton dimension and species density.
  • Pre-Cooling Verification: Containers are inspected for clean interior surfaces, intact door seals and pre-cooled according to shipment requirements prior to cargo loading.
  • Rapid Stuffing: Direct transfer from dedicated cold stores into the reefer container via sealed loading bays to prevent warm air infiltration.
  • Airflow Stacking: Cartons are stacked strictly within the designated red load line (T-floor pattern) to maintain continuous circulating refrigerated airflow.

Monitoring & Security

  • Freezing & Temperature Control: Freezing: Safe freezing according to product and shipment requirements. Microprocessor controllers are set and locked throughout transit.
  • Data Loggers: Single-use USB or digital temperature loggers inserted inside cartons at front and rear zones for arrival verification.
  • Container Seals: Heavy-duty high-security bolt seals (ISO 17712 compliant) applied and recorded on the Bill of Lading and packing list.
  • Shipping Line Coordination: Partnerships with major international container carriers ensuring priority reefer plugging at origin and transshipment hubs.
